Order of Nunavut : ウィキペディア英語版 | Order of Nunavut
The Order of Nunavut is a civilian honour for merit in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Instituted in 2010 it is the highest honour which can be bestowed by the Government of Nunavut. It is intended to honour current and former residents of the territory (or the territory which became Nunavut). == Creation and History == The Order was created by the passage of the Order of Nunvut Act in late 2009. The award is modeled on the other Orders of the Canadian Provinces. Inductees are entitled to use the postnominal letters "O.Nu.".〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.assembly.nu.ca/order-nunavut )〕 While all Canadian provinces have their own distinct and officially recognized honours systems, the territories of Canada do not. In addition to the Order of Nunavut, Yukon Territory has the Yukon Territory Order of Polaris. As of 2015 the Order is not included in the Canadian order of precedence (decorations and medals).
